Stress Analysis has historically been considered nearly as much an art as a science, with the applicability of the chosen approximation technique dependent on the experience of the analyst. This is still the status quo.
What has changed are the tools available to the analyst. Finite Element and other computer modeling techniques are currently available allowing orders of magnitude increases in analytical productivity.
Dynamic Analysis routinely completes analysis projects in hours or days rather than the weeks or months that might have been required in the past, when less efficient technology was used.
Projects that we have successfully completed include pressure vessels, components for NASA's Space Station Freedom, very large off-shore pile driving rigs, and numerous conveyor systems. In addition, we have conducted numerous structural dynamics assessments of complete buildings.
